First of all, thank you for showing interest in my Substack page. I am still trying to learn how this platform works but it seems like a good place to share longer stories.

The plan is to write more detailed stories about military aircraft and/or spaceflight and publish one every few weeks. The first post, for example, will be about recent FARP exercises with an MQ-9 Reaper in the Middle East. I’ve already tweeted a short thread on the first of two exercises, but I will share more photos and details in the Substack post. I will also provide an overview of the aircraft involved and the context of the exercises.

On November 19, a USAF (🇺🇸) HC-130J Combat King II provided fuel to an MQ-9 Reaper at a forward area refuelling point ''within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.'' DVIDS says ''undisclosed location'' for all photos but I think I found the two locations.  1/4

After nearly one year of trying to compress as much information into just 280 characters on Twitter, I am looking forward to finally sharing some longer stories. And don’t worry, this will not be a replacement for the tweets.
